"If you fancy a week immersing yourself in new creative skills, with wonderful accommodation and a group of like-minds then look no further than Creative Escapes. From the minute you are met by the quirky ceramic plaque at the airport you know you're in for a truly unique holiday. Karen and Kathryn will share their infectious enthusiasm for all things creative and Spanish and look after you very well. With classes ranging from ceramics, to soap making, card painting, to local cooking and jewellery it is constantly inspiring. With the added benefits of pretty much year round sunshine, a network of local artists to inspire you and home cooking to savour, you'll come back refreshed and full of ideas. Not to mention the treasure trove of creative presents and mementos of your holiday and doubtless a few new friends. Book it and enjoy."

"I’ve tried so many times to write this review but I couldn’t condense all the brilliant things I achieved in one week!  If you’ve ever longed to get away from the pressures of modern living and submerge yourself in a tranquil and happy environment and just be creative then Creative Escapes is for you.  I learnt so many new skills including pot making on a wheel and other ceramics, making a beautiful silver ring that I have not removed since making, a silver clay pendant that is always admired, greeting cards that I’m determined to do more of, frangipane soap and learning to make a proper paella with authentic sangria. Karen and Katherine were so enthusiastic for us to enjoy the whole experience that nothing was too much trouble.  Katherine is a brilliant cook so every meal was delicious and the wine was excellent too. Transport and transfers to classes are all taken care of.  A yoga class by the pool was a bonus. Massages are available at very reasonable rates.  I loved the design and decor at Villa.  There’s a Club house with darts, Pool table and cocktail bar. Also plenty of tranquil corners if you just want to read a book. Outside the villa you’re in a very quiet locality with an interesting walk along a dried river bed and other walks. The sound of the Hoopoe bird each morning and evening was a real treat. A trip to Mojacar on Market day was good fun.  I met and made new friends with a lovely group of people.  It was a fantastic week and I could easily have stayed a month or more! "

As soon as I met Kathryn and Karen I felt right at home. I travelled on my own but felt so at ease at all times. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they were so helpful and friendly.

All the activities were really lovely and a good mix of learning new skills but also relaxed and good fun.

The food was totally yummy, I had seconds almost every day!!!

The accommodation was great, I shared a bathroom with one other room which was no trouble at all. The bathroom was lovely and big with a rain shower and a roll top tub.

The accommodation has a nice outdoor pool-we even went for a swim, in November!

Overall, I’d thoroughly recommend a holiday with Creative Escapes so if you’re thinking about it, give it a go!!!
