Creative Escapes are pleased to announce the launch of our new Painting Retreats for 2020.  We have been successfully running our craft holidays for several years and many of our clients have provided feedback requesting a holiday specifically tailored at the keen painter/artist.

We are very lucky to have Trina Doerr on board to teach the weeks' classes.  Trina will teach you new skills and techniques both at her wonderful studio in Bedar and outside in the stunning, diverse landscapes in this part of Spain.

​

Along with five days tuition you will also receive all the materials you need for your holiday, including paints, brushes, palettes, easels, sketchbooks etc.  So, there's no need to bring any art supplies with you, it's all included!

​

The week’s itinerary is planned to encourage you to try different techniques and advance your skill set.  You will receive a minimum of 25 hours expert tuition and all levels are catered to, from beginner to advanced.

​

Your accommodation will be in Cortijo Alameda, set in a pretty little hamlet surrounded by almond and olive groves.  Here you will find peace and tranquility in which you can take time for your artistic talent to flourish.  A wonderful environment for like-minded people to get to know each other, share ideas and make friends.

​

Your hosts, Karen and Kathryn who stay with you at the Cortijo are on-hand to make sure you are well looked after and catered for.  Kathryn will prepare fresh, locally sourced ingredients for all your meals.  On the days you are painting at the studio or out in the fresh air and sunshine, either a picnic lunch or tapas in a local restaurant will be provided.

During the week we will also go out for a days sightseeing and enjoy time at a local place of interest, perhaps wine tasting at a bodega, olive oil tasting at an olive grove, or maybe a guided walk through an area of outstanding natural beauty.  Bring your sketchpads because there will be plenty of opportunities to practise.
